I loved the wrap-up to this chapter! What a wonderful image and tribute to Cap!

I was dismayed at Maya's betrayal, for similar reasons to Pepper. {sad face} "The ends justify the means" rationalizations lead to horrible situations, but we humans tend to fall prey to that style of thinking anyway. Maybe one day we'll learn better. (Not likely.)

Are you still feeling like this will wrap up within a few chapters, or am I mis-remembering a comment of yours from times past?

These two parts count as Chapter 26; the story ends with Chapter 27 and then there will be an epilogue. So, pretty much my next story posts will be the final ones.

Tony and Tapper had never gotten on better than the hour they had spent bypassing requisition forms and supervisory approvals. - Hah!

This is an awsome (double) chapter--so much good stuff happening. I love Tony's resolve to spite Maya by redeeming Extremis (and mostly pulling himself back together). Hard to believe we're facing the end.

I'm a little surprised -- and very excited -- to be at the end. And for that end to be at the scheduled chapter and not three later.
