Two items, perhaps not as unrelated as they first appear:

* I have a tumblr, which I have used exclusively as a fic announcement page until I posted this, entirely to see how it worked. As usual with social media, I seem to be missing the point because apparently one is not supposed to create original content for tumblr, instead repost someone ( Read more... )

Does this mean I'm supposed to post to the tumblr now? I'm still not sure how to use it beyond "fic announcement."

A lot of fic writers I follow also use it for fic announcements. I mainly use it to reblog pretty pictures, random fandom things that catch my fannish magpie eye, media/social critique and commentary, and resources that I might want to go back to. There's no right or wrong way to tumblr--well except for the general internet etiquette rule of not being a dick :P I too used to be completely baffled by tumblr, but I lurked on a couple of people's blogs for a while until I mostly had it figured out and haven't looked back. These days, checking livejournal is an afterthought, so at least this way I will know more immediately when you post new fic!

Also, just out of curiosity, did the Miranda fic end up not working out? I did so wish to see her again, but I understand if the muse wasn't talking.

The Miranda tidbit was partially a casualty of the craziness that my RL was in April and partially a casualty of the "do I use this in the Winter Soldier story or do I just write something silly and unrelated?" waffle. It will live on somewhere, but I probably need to decide if I'm going to poop or get off the pot on the sequel front first. Otherwise, I'm going to get caught in the infinite decision loop again, which happens every time I open the file up.

Fantastic snippet! :) And, I will say that y vote is for a longer fic. It'll be a long time before CA2 comes out, so you might as well have some fun until then. And to be fair, from a technical standpoint ALL fanfiction is pretty much counter to canon. :P Either way, I love your writing! :D

Captain America is set to come out April 4, 2014. :) Spoilers/leaks/sneak previews/etc probably won't start until 2014, maybe December of 2013 at earliest as the furor over Thor 2 dies down. That said, I think Marvel learned its mistakes from the Iron Man 3 PR and will be playing their Thor 2 and CA 2 cards a little closer to the vest; hopefully they fired whoever was in charge of the IM3 advertising. *has strong media feelings*

... Right, Thor2 is the Late 2013 movie. I don't know why that slipped my mind.

The IM3 advertising was terrible to the point that I think they were working off of some Bad Idea Bingo card.

Aw, Peggy. Your Peggy and Steve are so good together.

I'd be delighted to read any more of this that you wanted to write - the Winter Soldier story is about seven of my favorite narrative tropes piled on top of each other, so I'm busily getting all the fanfic versions on board that I can before the movie comes out and canon causes things to solidify. But if ending up with something contra to canon is going to bug you, I can see the problem.
