Your advice is eerily relevant for me at the moment. So thank you for it!

No problem!

The perk to private writings is that you don't have to worry about how crappy they are/if they have a plot or not. Just keep your creativity flowing, else it'll clog up.

WRITING CONSTIPATIOOON.

THIS IS TRUE. I also like to handwrite it out first. All of my first drafts are hand-written (except fanfic for some reason).

I only handwrite when I really have to. I normally just write down the basic idea until I can get home, and even then I sometimes don't get down to actually typing out the idea. I have about eight pages of writing prompts, both fanfic related and other. BEEN SITTING THERE FOR ALMOST A YEAR, SOME OF THEM. OH, GLOBS.

My brain goes too fast for my hand and pencil to handle. I type 90 WPM on average, so it's much easier for me to use the keyboard as compared to the pencil. Pencil speed would be about 12 WPM. xD

Interesting, your 'words to the wise.'

I find that my writing inspiration comes in waves. I can go months without writing a thing (creatively, at least) and then all of a sudden BOOM TONS OF WRITING WHAT. And I don't usually notice a big drop in quality... but I may be mistaken.

Good luck with your writing, Shea ~<3

WELL NOT ALL OF US ARE AS BLESSED AS YOU ARE, DEAR SHADOW.

: P I envy you. I wish I had a steady quality. DON'T LOSE IT, BB. IT'S A HUGE BLESSING TO HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

Go go go! You can do it!

Long periods of no writing make me sadface. In fact, I started writing fanfiction so that a no-writing-period wouldn't happen. :B

I've found that writing fanfiction has made my personal writings diminish considerably. I can't seem to be able to balance the two.

Being a writer since I was born--I swear I popped out of my mom with a pencil in my hand, :P--it's almost painful to go long periods of time without writing something. And writing in my personal journal and writing essays for class doesn't count. I don't know how I'm still alive, but I'm suffering considerably.

Bought a bunch of writing books with unique prompts in them, though. Those should help. 8D

Let's keep it up, bb. WE'LL BECOME THE TWO BEST DARNED WRITERS EVER.
