8 cigs a day is a very good limit. One of my friends is also cutting back, and said the transition from 10 to 8, not bad. 8 to 7--torture. you are not alone.
maybe if you just stuck to a limit of drinks on school nights, you would feel somewhat better. a happy medium, if you will. what do I know--for lunch today I had a giant pretzel covered with crab and cheese. It was... heart-attack-inducing good.
Moderation is the best. well, no, extreme indulgence is the best, moderation is second best. you'll get there. but don't deprive yourself of naps and cookies for god's sake! that's just wrong.

So you just take care of this 40 when you feel appropriate, days that start with M, T or W excluded of course.
Fuck man, drink what you want to drink, eat what you want to. Some days, you just gotta do what makes you happy.
