So, my mom had her mastectomy today. Dr. Forte cut off her left boob and Dr. Green put in an enlarger to stretch the skin slowly so they can fit an implant in there. He also fixed her right boob so it's not all saggy and in a few months he's going back in to swap the enlarger for an implant. She'll also be starting hormone treatment in about a ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness! That's pretty scary!
She has to stay for Thanksgiving? Oh dear! Are you guys sneaking her in some turkey and mashed potatoes "al a milkshake" tomorrow, I hope! I hope she's well enough to go home tomorrow, do you guys still have the hospital bed from when your dad had to use it?

She actually got out around 11am yesterday, so she got to go to the family thing. She can eat whatever she wants, so she had dinner and everything. And no, we don't have that hospital bed anymore, I think it was a rental.
