Our prime-minister stated that he really regretted the big donorshow to be broadcasted tonight, for it will be bad for the image of the Netherlands.

I had no idea the two of us would ever agree on something (that it will dent our image). He's a little less scary than Bush, that's why I get the willies of that man...

I was actually relieved when it turned out to be a hoax. If it hadn't been, it would have definitely taken things too far. As it is, I think it was a great stunt. Later on, I saw an interview with a German kidney patient who was still scandalized, even though it was a hoax, and said the show had hurt many people's feelings. Doesn't he realize that the show was trying to HELP people like him? Geez.
