Ulquiorra had been, he had to admit, surprised by his visit with the human woman. It seemed to be a recurring theme, that he underestimated her strength. And here, once again, she had risen to his challenge. She hadn’t wanted to say it, but she had with clear eyes and voice. Not many could have done the same.

Thank you! It's interesting to see how Ulquiorra changed from the first time we saw him. Back then Yammy did all the talking and he barely made a peep. (Except trash trash trash) After being with Orihime for such a short time, he became more and more interested in conversation, hehe.

Poor Orihime-broken-record. Kubo had a problem with giving her lines in this arc. Either she repeated phrases (Sado-kun isn't dead!) and names (Kurosaki-kun!), or she said the most heartfelt things in all of bleach. No happy medium with her.
