...Sometimes I think my dad isn't really much of a father-figure. A lot more lately, he's been acting like a kid...even though I really shouldn't be saying that, considering that I do to...but I am a kid. 0o

May he was scared? The robbers were armed. But more importantly, maybe he doesn't want to admit that he was scared. It's a perfectly plausable explination. He doesn't wanna seem like a bad father or husband or even person, but he was scared for his life concidering the robbers were armed. Maybe he's not the kind of person who reacts well in situations like that. I know from experience that my dad isn't very good in tight situations, and he had a hard time admitting it for a while. I say just give him a chance. Your brother stormed in because he had a fucking AK versus some pathetic handguns the robbers had, what did your dad have? Bread?
I've thought of that, and that's probably the most likely reason. My brother was prepared after the first robbery. My dad went on with life as though nothing happened. Didn't bother to prepare for a next one. A few years ago, there was a shoplifting and my brother cut himself in the thigh with a Ka-bar. My dad didn't even bother to get up from inside the house (even after Mom demanded from the camera for him to bring my brother to the hospital). My mom had to stomp into the house and tell my dad to bring him to the hospital. I guess old habits die hard.
Oh xP Close enough, I had one the same days and it was called the People to People World Leadership Forum. If I remember correctly, you've been on a P2P trip, right?
Yeah, I have. The friendships were alright, but I didn't like the information/work stuff we had to go through. For some odd reason, it seemed pretty basic. I attended the UCLA last summer. =)
