This week has just flown by. It has been so nice to just relax and explore the city a bit more. We have been spending our days wandering around Lausanne, finding new favorite places. i'm too tired to type all that i've been doing lately. it's been alot.
it's cold here now, well cold to me. and it rains.
i think the highs have been about 17 degrees celsius, not sure what that converts to.

Luzern was great! I went with my friends Reto (Swiss German) and Lauren (American). We had fun, of course. The language part was sooo frustrating, but now I am really wanting to learn some Swiss German. Luckily I can take classes here for free. His mom cooked all kinds of delicious food for us, including raclette.

Well, today is the first day it hasn't been sunny and gorgeous. Today it's cool and drizzly. All I want to do is go to a cafe and drink copious amounts of hot chocolate. It is weird being out of the US on September 11th. I saw one newspaper headline about it in the cafeteria but that was it. All day I had placement testing for my French class. It was more stressful than it sounds...6 hours of written, oral, and comprehension tests. I had lunch with Myriam in the cafeteria under the library. I am in love with their ( Read more... )

Still tired, although I slept well on my tiny Swiss bed. I think it is because of the millions of kilometres I walked yesterday. Well, it felt like a million. At least the weather here is perfect right now - not hot at all and they don't have humidity. Ever.
