I recently read an SS/HG fanfic that's near perfection.

Mistakenly thought it was a completed work, but it's not.  The last chapter is a whopper of a cliffhanger.  Snape dead or alive - unknown.  Hermione Oblivated.

And I think the last update was a year ago.  I fear she's given up the story's ghost.

I felt kind of bad singling it out.

Because I'd feel bad giving the author grief for not updating it recently.

I fell in love with her Snake of a Different Color story and discovered she'd authored another. I didn't pay attention to the last updated date before I started reading. Gah, gah, gah!

I just reread that one the other day. It is a sad thing to think she won't ever finish it.

I did leave her an "encouraging" review saying I hoped it wasn't abandoned. I'm pretty sure she's still around in fandom. She might be influenced.
