my firm is runs a program called LEAP at a high school in sydney. It's basically a mentoring program where employees of the firm get teamed up with a student at the school- once a month the students come here to have lunch and a chat with their mentor, and the mentors go visit them a couple of times too. At the end of the year they have a big production thing with all the parents and teachers.
It's pretty awesome, and I would totally get involved if I wasn't already donating so much time to Sailors with disAbilities. It's a great feeling to know that you can give something back :)
keep us updated with how it all goes- I'd love to hear about it :)
I fiercly believe that multiculturism can work if the students of the world have good teachers and we all just accept each other's differences. I know it sounds like marshmellow land but this is just an example in REAL LIFE! Yay - such an awesome entry Jill :)
