Interesting about the prawns: We have them every year at Christmas and it was only 2 years ago that I realised you also had to remove the poo trail after all other shelling. I had 10 straight years of eating prawn poo trail!!! :(

Never experiences a mutant banana nub... I always leave the last 1cm and throw that out.
I also have to remove the stringy bits along the side. =\
