Pictures from San Diego

On the eve of my departure to nearly the most northern point of the Pacific coast in the U.S. I bring pictures of nearly the most southern point of the Pacific coast in the U.S.!

Near Old Town San Diego, walking distance from my hotel.

The entrance to Old Town.

A cute water fountain at a cafe.

I love the mural on this shop. I remembered it instantly from a trip to San Diego a couple years ago. This trip I bought some lotion from the shop.

I thought this was a very cool shop sign.

The water fountain at my hotel.

Sunset in San Diego.

I got breakfast at a nearby cafe and had probably the best caramel mocha I've ever had. And a delicious chocolate scone to go along with it.

A charming corner of Old Town.

The church in Old Town.

Shopping in Old Town.

Trading Post!

Old Town Square.

More of the buildings in Old Town.

Near my hotel was a neighborhood with some very pretty rehabilitated Victorian era houses from the late 19th century. Too pretty not to take pictures of!

I really liked this one. Loved the color (obviously) and it had some very unique accents.

The turret of another house.

More of the houses.

A very nice Queen Anne.

A very pretty Italianate. Love the overhanging roof.

This was too picturesque not to take a picture of.

I liked the view of the porch with the house in the background.

A very colorful Bird of Paradise.

This grouping of plants and trees caught my eye.

I just loved the leaves of this plant. And the sun was just the perfect color.

I'm off to Seattle tomorrow! I may have some internet access and I'm planning on doing as much site seeing as I can in between training class sessions so I'll try to share some pictures and narrative.
