Life on Mars vs. Life on Mars

Thanks to you, I was able to enjoy the UK version so very much. I'd heard bad things about the US version so didn't want to spoil my viewer "high", so never watched it.

I thought I was the only person who tried to watch October Road:(

UK shows for the win!

I strongly suggest to skip to the US version altogether. It just taints the awesomeness that is the UK version. I had to watch the US finale version because I wanted to see if they would end the same. I think I'm both sad and relieved they didn't choose the same ending. Did you finish the UK version?

I did try October Road and I kept watching it because I really wanted to see how it ended. That really was a terrible show. The writing was just painful. And a dumber and more self absorbed group of people I'll never meet. I have to admit I'm still curious how it all would have turned out.

It's hard to beat UK shows, they really do have some of the highest quality stuff out there.

Believe me, you are so, so glad. It was just incomprehensible. At least with the UK finale it was total crack, but the good kind. As a friend of mine said, the US finale was crack. But it was the BAD kind.

The spaceship bit is what put it over the edge for me. Just . . . no.

I can't believe how BAD US remakes of great UK shows can be. This is definitely an all time low. Thanks for getting me hooked on the UK LoM. I even love the sort of sequel - Ashes to Ashes. - Pam
