i'm going to have to call the whole thing off

I'm sorry. The wedding was a LIE, although the responses I got in some sense made me wish it was true, or at least made me wonder what it would be to make that decision - whether i ever ever could. Safe to say, I think, that NO is the answer. However much i want the dress, i don't have the chutzpah ( Read more... )

Don't feel guilty for lying! Tho I was half expecting a phonecall from my mother in shock, or something.

I guess it was interesting because I thought it stranger that you should be into the idea of marriage at all than that you would do it fast and mysteriously. I always imagine that being on the other side of the world would make me do crazy and impulsive things, but that's probably wishful thinking.

Enjoy the fromage! Mmmm, gorgonzola ...

you have myspace! i do too, though not without a certain degree of guilt. (my justification: all my cheltenhammy friends are on it, and i miss them.) anyhow, find me on there if you like. (myspace.com/anyothercity)

i thought the wedding would be a lie or a joke. but nevertheless!

do you find that your wine-consumption increases as spring gets nearer? every year, as soon as there's a hint of sun, i seem to become even more of a ravenous wine-fiend than usual. i wonder why? xxxxx.

I'm glad you saw through my deceit :)

I love that polaroid on your myspace. I have no justification, really, other than it being an entirely mindless way to pass time at school that stops me doing useful things like writing c.v.s &c.

My wine consumption at the moment is frightening.. its a downhill slope too, obviously. BUT my stomach is really delicate and does not like an alcohol diet very much at all. So to accompany my phase of furious writing, which is going to start in approximately a week (!) i'm going to stop. yes. don't try to stop me...

when spring starts and i get my camera properly fixed i'm going to take some sakura photos for you. The song i'm singing with the teachers for graduation is called 'sakura' and its lyrics are like (bad translation but still): 'from this moment, we'll always be waiting for you on the road where the cherry blossoms grow...' xxxxxxx

ah! sakura! do the japanese attach as much relevance as i suspect/perceive to the coming of spring? it seems to be a recurring theme in japanese art. basho to yoko ono to haruki murakami to piana. oh japan. i'm making vaguely serious plans about a long journey eastwards. whales are also mysterious. what can this mean?!

the polaroid is of me in one of my favourite dresses; i was surprised it came out so well. you can see another polaroid on the floor next to me on the far right. i can't remember what that one was of.

furious writing! is this to include any further editions of la zine? i do hope so. though any old writing by you is good. as long as i get to see some of it some time! xxxxx.
