As a year which is gearing itself up to offer much writing and studying and babysitting and being in kent, and little employment or anything considered worthwhile by the world, i hope it is also going to include a huge amount of BOOKS! Especially if i'm going to get on to this masters course in Japanese Literature. So, i'm going to do the book ( Read more... )

Did you like Wuthering Heights? I've never really enjoyed it and I'm not sure quite why.

The sleeping pills are making me a bit delerious and drowsy so the email I'm writing you might seem a bit peculiar.. I might have to go home from work.

I half liked it. I think it's a very strong story, which has an iconic and mythical sort of power - but, in terms of narrative, i found that I could take it or leave it. But then, I always tend to favour Writing over Storytelling, if you will permit such a ludicrous and oversimplistic dichotomy.

Is that by her? I've heard of that, and heard good things about it, but I'd never heard of her before, and this seemed to be a pretty vicious attack on all things japanese... How are you? how are cheltenham things?
