yeah, i really can't wait to be out there. i just really hope everything goes smoothly. i always have a tough time finding jobs.. i keep rewriting my resume for every job i apply for haha
Here is a message I just saw from my best friend Ali, I thought you might want to check it out. Ya never know! -->
Michelle and I finally found a killer apt! thank you all for helping us. now my friend jenna needs a roommate by sept 1st.
here's the deal with Jenna..
i have a three bedroom duplex in the east village (2nd & A) and one of the roomates is leaving at the end of august. the room is 11' x 8' with a closet and storage, and has two windows with southern exposure.
the apartment itself is 1100 square feet, hardwood floors, completely renovated, windows everywhere, and rooftop access. it is three blocks from the F trains and five or six blocks from the 6 train. the whole apartment is 2750, but you will pay 675 per month (because the third roomate is paying 1400 for the downstairs room).
sounds killer, but here's the catch: if you move in you have to take over the other roomates lease. so you have to have good credit and a good paying job, or someone that would be willing to co-sign for you.
thanks for the info lady. i don't think i'd be good for it though.. for that amount of money i'd need more space (that's like dorm room sized) and i won't have a job when i move there most likely.. so i can't get on a lease.
