Because of massive amounts of snow in Denver and thousands of cancelled flights.. for the first time in my life I won't be spending Christmas with my family

i spent christmas in new york last year---i worked everyday but christmas for two weeks. it was weird, but in a way not too bad. i woke up on christmas morning at my friend's house. he and i and another friend watched two basketball games then got food and went out that night. not particlarly cheery in that christmas sort of way, but i had fun.
i hope whatever you end up doing puts a smile on your face.
Well, if it's any consolation, you're in the same boat as thousands of people this year. This blizzard has made life in Denver pretty difficult, too.
It's hard to spend any holiday away from family, but there are always little things you can do to make your holiday special. Find whatever it is that makes you happy and give yourself a day to enjoy it.
Oh, sweetie! I'm so very sorry. Perhaps something wonderful will happen at the last minute to change or uplift your present situation. I fervently hope so. The very best of luck, dear.
it's hard when you don't see your family hardly at all during the year.. and then when everyone else is nestled up enjoying eachother you're alone.
mom sent me a text today to let me know my sister and her husband and my grandma had arrived.. couldn't help but feel jealous/left out that i don't get to have that.
