Oh yes, I did also buy some plastic when I was ill - needed some painkillers. Not yet at the stage where I scrape tea bark for my painkillers. They only come in plastic round here ( Read more... )

That seems awfully strange, we get our potatoes in a paper sack. You would have thought if it was a greengrocer, they would let you take your potatoes home in no bag of you really wished, what bother is it to them how you transport your goods?

yeah, they sell them loose, and alii_cat had taken a paper bag in, but they were quite insistent with him that the ones in the plastic bag (pre-bagged) were somehow so superior that the others could not be purchased. Very strange. I would have bought them myself from asda in my own paper bag if I had known. I like the idea of having a sack, but I wouldn't get through that many.
