Yeah, beautiful days is a festival run by the levellers (they are a UK folk punk rock back with left wing/green/anarchist political messages in their songs, not sure how well known they are outside the UK). I have never been but it is supposed to be very good, they bill it as the most anti-commercial, they don't have any commercial advertisements at the festival, and no sponsors or anything. We will be away while it is on this year, but I would like to go next year

Yup I know Levellers, I've never listed to any of their stuff but I know a few of my friends who are big fans. What an interesting concept for a festival! I hope you get to go next year.

Rancid do tour the UK every couple of years I've seen them 3 times since 2003 (possibly 04) it's always awesome but I am a die hard Rancid fan *blushes*

I actually walked down the aisle (wedding aisle) to She's Automatic :D

I wrote them on the list not cause we hadn't been able to see them but because I will need something to convince alii_cat to go to the levellers' festival, and they didn't seem a totally way out there speculation!
