1. Pick 15 movies that you have special feelings for.
2. Pick a few lines of dialogue that mean something to you.
3. As people guess the film, strike out that entry.
4. If possible, after the film is guessed, explain why that movie made the list.

1. "He peed on your rug?"
The Big Lebowski: Gave me the "Dude"-phase. Actually, I haven't grown out of it yet. Heh. Seriously, one of the best anti-heroes evah!!!

2. "Hatred isn't something you're born with. It gets taught. At school they said segregation is what it said in the Bible. At seven years of age, you get told it enough times, you believe it. You believe the hatred. You live it. You breathe it. You marry it."

3. "The game starts now. You have to score one thousand points. If you do that, you take home a tank with a big gun. Each day we will announce the scores from that loudspeaker. The one who has the fewest points will have to wear a sign that says "Jackass" on his back. There are three ways to lose points. One, turning into a big crybaby. Two, telling us you want to see your mommy. Three, saying you're hungry and want something to eat."

4. "You're an embarrassment to nature, you know that?"
Ice Age: My first animated picture - and the best I've seen so far. Also, one of the very few movies where I prefer the dubbed version over the original

5. "You still think it's beautiful to die for your country. The first bombardment taught us better. When it comes to dying for country, it's better not to die at all."
All Qiet on the Western Front: I read the book when I was about 13 or 14 and I thought (and still think) it should be an obligation for everyone to read it. One of the most important books that have ever been written - and a movie worthy to carry the same title.

6. "My dear Adso, we must not allow ourselves to be influenced by irrational rumors of the Antichrist, hmm? Let us instead exercise our brains and try to solve this tantalizing conundrum."
The Name of the Rose: Love the book, like the movie. Especially because of Sean Connery. Yum.

7. "This is my favorite aria. This is Maria Callas. This is "Andrea Chenier", Umberto Giordano. This is Madeleine. She's saying how during the French Revolution, a mob set fire to her house, and her mother died... saving her. "Look, the place that cradled me is burning." Can you hear the heartache in her voice? Can you feel it, Joe? In come the strings, and it changes everything. The music fills with a hope, and that'll change again. Listen... listen..."I bring sorrow to those who love me." Oh, that single cello! "It was during this sorrow that love came to me." A voice filled with harmony. It says, "Live still, I am life. Heaven is in your eyes. Is everything around you just the blood and mud? I am divine. I am oblivion. I am the god... that comes down from the heavens, and makes of the Earth a heaven. I am love!... I am love."
Philadelphia: I cry a river every single time I see it. Great movie.

8. "Well, would you like to know what you'd be without us, the good ol' U.S. of A. to protect you? I'll tell you. The smallest fucking province in the Russian Empire, that's what. So don't call me stupid, lady. Just thank me."
A Fish called Wanda: One of the best comedies of all time! It was really hard to pick a quote (my other favs were "Benito Mussolini!" and "What was the middle thing?"). I can't even remember when I first saw it, it's like I have always known it.

9. "My story starts at sea... a perilous voyage to an unknown land... a shipwreck... the wild waters roar and heave... the brave vessel is dashed all to pieces, and all the helpless souls within her drowned... all save one... a lady... whose soul is greater than the ocean... and her spirit stronger than the sea's embrace... not for her a watery end, but a new life beginning on a stranger shore. It will be a love story... for she will be my heroine for all time. And her name will be Viola."
Shakespeare in Love: Not the greatest movie of all times, but I love it dearly. Shakespeare, Judi Dench, Rupert Everett and crossdressing, all in one movie!

10. "I am the Prime Minister of Canada. You are just Businessmen!"
H2O: Very, very hot scene. Also, this quote is vaguely amusing is a way that is difficult to explain. I like it.

11. "Failure is not an option."
Apollo 13: I love, love, love that movie. All the technicalities, the NASA-talk, the humour, the tension... I wanna be a flight controller, too!

12. "Cut! That was perfect!"

13. "Conversation, like certain portions of the anatomy, always runs more smoothly when lubricated."

14. "Fashion is what one wears oneself. What is unfashionable is what other people wear. Other people are quite dreadful. The only possible society is oneself."

15. "I heard the music of true forgiveness filling the theater, conferring on all who sat there, perfect absolution. God was singing through this little man to all the world, unstoppable, making my defeat more bitter with every passing bar."
