I have procured a house in Raton, NM. It's a "formal" home, with a entry way, a living room, a parlor/dining room, a kitchen, a utility room, and a sewing room on the ground floor, and then two bedrooms and a huge bathroom with a clawfoot tub upstairs. Better to much home then to little I guess. As long as the commute isn't to bad I would say go with it, but then that's just me.
