Writer's Block: Health Care

Right now, it's a privilege that I don't have, short of going to Planned Parenthood for my yearly exam.  It SHOULD be a right, and my strong beliefs about that are one of the major reasons I'm looking at moving to another country where it IS a right.  I find it really disappointing that neither of the candidates in the current election are talking

Ditto. I wish they would really get going with it but... eh, whatever. I've already made my peace with the fact that if I get cancer I'm going to die since I can't afford medicine. Bleh.

Please excuse my butting in so rudely, but I've been browsing these posts via that "View other answers" thing, and couldn't help noticing your comment. Do you really mean what you said there, about making peace? I honestly can't comprehend that.

I really do mean it. I mean, obviously, I hope it doesn't happen any time soon. I guess my being not terribly upset by the prospect comes from my views on death- that it's the next step in life, and not a negative thing at all.
