I'm so sorry it took me a bit to actually get to reading this (EVEN THOUGH I REQUESTED IT!), but I really wanted to make sure it was during a time when I could really, REALLY enjoy it, and I am so glad now that I did. This was just so very lovely and evocative, and as always, your pacing is a thing of beauty. You seem to so perfectly capture life and tone in that time of life and Charles' transition into it, and the sketch! Now, I wished we had a chance to actually see this family outing. :3

I'm really thrilled you enjoyed this little story. I had so much fun writing it. It made me realize how much I've missed Charles and Laura. Also, thank you for submitting the prompt. It was a good challenge.
