Quite a day

So I always thought American Jewish people had a tendency to overstate the amount of anti-semitism that exists in our country. I have simply never had an incident with anti-semitism. I'm one of only two Jewish people in my department of 50, and my experience has been that non-Jewish people are fascinated to learn about Jewish culture and rituals ( Read more... )

I hate people! But sounds like a fun day in the snow. Tell Mark to hang in there.

I know Mark likes me, it is okay. I would feel anti-social too after a day like that.

I'm sorry that happened to Mark, that sucks. But I think you're right...people are too busy worrying about themselves most of the time to give a rip about other people. Or they're like me and totally clueless to any ethnic/religious/cultural tension between people.

Have I ever been discriminated against? Ha. I'm a WASPy female. I imagine I've been a victim of sexism but I can tend to be too quiet and passive so I can hardly fault anyone for thinking of me as mousy or incompetent. But then they get to know me and I don't shut up and I think I can do everything the bestest.

I love Jewish people. My entire way of thinking on pretty much everything like religion, politics, and economics comes from them. I agree with the person who said that you can know God exists by the existence of those who are Jewish. If you look at all the great achievements of mankind through out history, the Jewish contribution per capita has been far higher than any other ethnicity. Anti-semites are ignorant morons who have no understanding of who their greatest benefactors are. The worst places to live where there was and is the most misery are those places that are anti-semetic and/or anti-capitalist. If I landed on another planet and was asked where I would like to go, I would first ask where the Jews and Christians are and go there.
