1. Mark bought the Amazon Kindle. It is SO frigging cool. It's apparently Amazon's first product. Basically it's a wireless device you can use to read books. The screen looks just like reading an actual book - doesn't have that computer glare that hurts your eyes. And it's a good value, because even though you pay $400 for it, you can then buy

From everything I've read from you, it seems you and Mark make a really nice couple. Congrats again on your upcoming wedding. Also, from everything I know about you from online, Mark is a very fortunate guy!

Cool! I was just thinking the other day, while watching people read on the subway, that it seems there would soon come a time soon when paper books would become outdated. Added bonus? It's "green." Maybe they'll eliminate sales tax on those Amazon books or something, as an incentive.

Life is way too expensive. I'm stuck with the mortgage on my vacant house in Kentucky (I had a prospective tenant who sort of committed a month ago and then backed out last week), and I'm trying to work out travel arrangements to see Paul during the 4 months I'm in Oklahoma (and he's in New York). Ugh. Just for fun? There are 2-bedroom apartments where I work going for $7000/month. We're talking 1200 square feet. Yeesh!
