While writing the early Harry Potter series, JK Rowling would suffer bouts of depression. Very eloquently she created a visual description in dementors. "Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air

i still vividly recall the first one. In college. I had just received a b on a project I had spent a lot of time working on and sort of happy about it. Then out of no where, I started thinking, why I didn't do better? what a failure, and blamo. sucked into one really dark space.
