Also, I've had classes where the people suck, and classes where they don't. So I wouldn't give up yet, if you have any interest in taking more classes. But then again, G and S is one of my majors, so I'm a bit biased.

i would just like to follow up on this. my professor was out today at some conference, and don coolidge (that's his name, right?) substituted, and he was AMAZING. as soon as class finished, i and the entire group of people around me looked at each other and went, "why isn't HE our teacher?" so, yes, it totally depends on the professor, and i think i wouldn't have such a bitter outlook on it if i had someone more dynamic and interesting. just thought i would let you know.. he was really cool.

yeah, it's popular. he's not really on there with celebrities.. i mean, i assume the pinkisthenewblog guy doesn't count as a celebrity, although he did get written up about in the new york times recently and was on best week ever. but yeah, it was weird, because i was like.. that guy looks familiar...

and YES, winter break! i feel like i haven't seen people in a million years. never fear, it will absolutely be after the 28th. i want to either come for new years or right before i go back to school for anna's bday. i shall keep you updated.

i guess i know how you feel about the whole not getting drunk as often thing... i mean, i'm abroad, i sure as hell can drink whenever i like... but i've only been drunk once over here... and i haven't even been out since the first week i've arrived. maybe it's because i'm not comfortable with the people here... or maybe i really have gotten "older". haha.
