I'm sorry to hear that teaching wasn't your calling, but I'm happy that you've found something that suits you ^^ *huggle* My mom was a registered nurse for years until she decided to do paralegal work. I wish you the best of luck with whatever road you take.
And I can't wait to hear about Anime Expo. I've never gone to a Con before, hopefully next year me and my other anime-loving friend can go to the one in Dallas =P
I did Health Care Aide training in high school. It was a college course, and the anatomy and physiology stuff is no problem if you have a good teacher.
Something kind of interesting, the teacher I had for the classes was a nurse, who decided she wanted to go back to school, and was taking education, she was approached about a job due to her nursing backround. She taught high school Health and Childcare, or Health Care Aide Certifying, CPR, First Aide, and was somewhat of a school nurse, she worked a certain amount of hours in hospitals during summers to keep her license. If you're still interested in teaching, that's an interesting possibility that could come up in the future.
Hun, I think nursing will be fine. Here's it's a four year course, I don't know how it is in the US. Anatomy's always come easy to me, so I can't for sure say how it'll be. I would have chosen nursing as a choice for me, but I couldn't do the training they do ((so instead, I chose a path that gives me double the school *head to desk*)). Also, you said you love kids, so when you're a nurse, you can specialize into the pediatric ward or the maternity ward.. That's how I based what specialty I'm going to do. I also love kids, so I'm going for pediatrics

Anyway, go for it, kiddo! If business isn't for you, dont' do it. I finally broke free of that life, and I am so much happier now! Good luck.
