Yep. Great comment. I don't agree with it 100% -semantics still is important for me- but 99% in everything else. Even with the semantics wrong I supported gay marriages in Spain.

Como to think of it, you are lucky to have two different words: marriage and matrimony, so what the semantic fuss is all about in English? Here we only have matrimony...

I'd never looked at the difference in those terms, but based on what Merriam-Webster defines them as, I am glad that we have both terms available.
