Nicked from verasteine :

Ask me a question about one of my stories, or about my writing in general. It can be absolutely anything in any fic, and I will answer you as honestly as I possibly can. Don’t hold back. Ask about my plans for future parts of a current series if you want to, or progress on something in-progress that you've gotten an early peek at ( Read more... )

What is the story you've always wanted to write, but never have?

From what I've seen of your writing, I'd say that, yeah, you play it safe. I don't mean this as criticism, because I do exactly the same thing. It's only natural. I would love to see, though, what you come up with when you let that go.

Yeah, aside from the fact that I'm not as good as I want to be, playing it safe is one of my bigger problems, I think. Which I'm okay with, because it's something fairly specific that I can work on.

Do you plan on carrying on 'The Con'

I thought it was an interesting idea, although I appreciate I may not like where it goes (I am a J/I OTP writer and wouldn't consider writing anything else) but I would be curious to see where you went with it.

Well, right now I'm doing more than planning. I've got about 1700 words written on the sequel, and maybe a little more than a fourth of the plot written out. Progress has been slowed down by plot difficulties and my habit of picking up new writing challenges, but it's in the foreground right now and I recently asked someone about betaing it.

As for whether you'll like where it goes, I obviously can't make any promises there. :P The sequel focuses a lot on Jack, but Jack/Ianto and their developing relationship is a major part of the story.

Hah, I'm guilty of that too. I currently have three stories that have been planned and started since Feb but they keep getting pushed back by other stories. The way I see it at least I'm posting something!

J/I and a developing relationship, that sounds good to me.

I look forward to reading it when it's finished.

I keep picking up challenges with deadlines. It helps me write, but it sure doesn't help me finish my other fics.

Thanks! I hope to finish it before long, and I hope you'll enjoy it.
