(no subject)
its crazy hot. its making me sleepy. dang... i have to be at water polo in an hour. in the mean time... update-izzle!
so the crack of dawn (9:00am) saturday, dad and i headed off to sactown for my water polo tournement. after about 2.5 hours of driving, we found the pool and grabbed some subway. went back to the pool, put down my stuff, changed, chatted and got in to warm up. that was a little crazy since the other 16b team was also warming up and the warm up pool was a diving well about 10yards by 10 yards. not fun. anyway, we lost our first game by a lot. we weren't playing very well as a team, and we weren't really warmed up enought yet. i played one quater and made a couple of ok saves. this one girl kept swimming up to me when i was in full control of the ball and i was wondering "what is she thinking?! i have the ball, and if you try to get it, the ref will just call a foul anyways. go swim and defend your player, unless you want me to throw her the ball..." anyways, they scored on almost every counter, which was hell for the goalies. after the game it was about 10 million degrees, and we all ate and tried to stay in the shade. game two rolled around, versus the 16C team. they cut the pool in half so they could get more games in, so we only played 1/2 pool. which makes everything a billion times easier for the goalies. yay. we won that game, something like 8-2. i played 2 quaters and the first was a shut out! yay! i made a few good blocks, and we played very well. third game, we played the 14A team, and lost, they are REALLY good. i made this one REALLY good block, i was happy. but it was frustrating because the other team beat us on the counter everytime. that really pissed me off, cuz there is nothing i can do to stop a 4 on nobody (four of their girls vs. me. not fun) anyways, we finished about 5:30, and dad and i headed back. we stopped at in'n'out on the way home and i slept most of the way. by the time we got home, i was so tired i just went to sleep.
sunday was more water polo games, after church. we lost both, and the other teams parents were very rude. again, they beat us on the counter attack every single time. the second game was better, but not great. i came home and watched TV for a while and ate and slept.
today was very boring. i slept till 10, went to breakfast with mom and then went and bought myself a new bible. then i came home and slept for a few hours, and then watched "you've got mail" on TNT. so cute. now im off to water polo...
