Season of the hork?

Sep 04, 2024 07:36

JuneBug sounds all congested which might be seasonal since I've actually been able to use Actual Real Air to cool the place at night by opening the windows. Looking forward to when I don't need to turn the AC on in the afternoon. This morning I was mildly concerned since Junie horked up a hairball and I was weighing whether it was just a hairball ( Read more... )

Aw, poor kitties! I've wondered too if too much AC hurts the birds and dries out their sinuses sometimes.

It's been pretty humid even with the AC lately. I have more issues with super dry air in winter.

My guys are doing a lot of hairballs, too. I wouldn't worry.

Do they do more as they get older? I could swear that mine did a halfway decent job of passing hair through the other end more lol

With five cats, there were always barfs. Titan had a sensitive tum and Jenny was always grooming everyone. Now we just get them from Bête Noire. I can't say they have increased. She's nine now.

This the season of the hairball. I've been getting a little "present" every morning.

Last time I had jury duty, there was a woman in a long-sleeved dress over slacks who carried a honkin' big Bible and answered the first voir dire question with a long rant about the Will of God, Divine Justice established the death penalty, Hallelujah!, etc, etc., and she was sent home immediately. (It was a DUI case.) Just a suggestion.

Every morning? Yikes! Poor both of you!

I couldn't fake being a holy roller if they pressed me on anything bible-related, though. Heh. I wonder if I went with the witchy getup if that might help?

I've avoided hairballs from The Trio by combing through their pelts (especially Tomodachi!) I also use just a tiny bit of oil before combing their pelts. A smattering of unsalted butter (a treat) can help a bit with horking, too imho....

Both of mine are short hair and I use the furminator daily or every other day. I can't give butter since I suspect dairy issues but I might see about a little coconut oil

I use a bit of olive oil (doesn't have to be extra virgin but needs to be food safe.)

I use the rest of the oil for cooking/baking, plus it's less expensive than coconut oil in both the short term and long run...

Heh, pondering going in whole witchy regalia to see if that gets me dismissed. >:)

I was hoping someone would get the title reference!

OMG! YES! I fully support this witches' rights to religion angle. ;) (Go full-on like Kathy Bates in "AHS: Apocalypse", LOL!!)

I have this dress that I need to trim to my height

I also have earrings with little dangly pentagons and plenty of necklaces that will go well too. Heh heh.

I should get some black or blood red lipstick
