My luggage is in Manila, and I'm in Melbourne Australia. Why is my luggage in Manila?

Because there was a BIG HOLE IN MY PLANE! It was kinda horrifying while it was going on, but as soon as the plane was stabilized, I was fine. My seat mate was close to a panic attack, and I calmed her down as we were both breathing o2.

Whoa! You were on that flight? We saw that on the news last night, but came in at the end of the story and didn't get all the details. I'm glad you're ok and getting treated so well by Qantas!

By the way, I'm living in the Netherlands now, so if you end up this direction at some point, let me know!

I'm glad you're okay! So your luggage fell out? That's awful for you and scary for anyone on the ground.

We have no idea yet if my (our) luggage fell out or if it's still on the plane in the hangar in Manila. We're supposed to hear from Qantas on Monday; but in the meantime, I had to buy new clothes.

And we were over water (the South China Sea, I think), so I don't think anyone's wearing my clothes right now.
