I need a break

Beyond meeting someone new and spending time doing something I love, I'm really looking forward to having a king size bed to myself. And a bathroom where I can take my time and not be bothered by seven other people needing to use it.

And a morning meditation not punctuated by the crazy rantings of a bitter old hag.

And the ability to take my time ( Read more... )

I shudder to think how many people take medication for anxiety that they wouldn't need if they just gave up caffeine. It's amazing how much caffeine can cause a problem with that!

Caffeine is a hard addiction to break. People think they need it to get through their day. And, in essence, they do. I still get caffeine, just not nearly the amount I used to.

I drink between 16 and 32 ounces of caffeinated pop a week, MAYBE. Usually in the form of Mt. Dew on Thursdays while working. I rarely drink coffee anymore, and when I do it's decaf. I drink decaffeinated tea a LOT. In fact, my morning cup of tea is part of my meditation.

If I'm not drinking tea, I'm drinking water. Lots and lots of water.

I have more energy than I ever did while I was dependent on caffeine. Fewer headaches, too.

OH I love king sized beds so much!! My bed is super comfy (it's one of those double pillow tops) but it's a queen size.
After sleeping in Chris' king size bed (and requesting them in hotels when we travel) it makes me dislike my queen SO MUCH.

OH GIIIRRLL! I'm happy if I even get a full sized bed to myself. Right now, I'm sleeping on a couch. But when Tim and I share a bed, he is such a HOG! Even on a king sized bed, I'm lucky to get a quarter of it.

But I'm going to be all alone in my bed. Sprawled. With every pillow crammed under some part of my body or another.

Chris has this frustrating trait of sleeping alllll the way to one side when on a king sized bed, but smack dab in the middle of a queen size. So when he's in my bed, he takes up the whole damn thing. When we're in HIS bed, it's like the Pacific ocean can seperate us. It's odd.
