What do you mean this church is different from Vineyard in that they do not need to be convinced of the theology or the precedence for the work of the Holy Spirit or prayer ministry? -- They're already convinced about it whereas the Vineyard isn't? Or they don't care about being convinced because they would do the stuff even if there was no theology or precedence?

First, if my post offends, I apologize. Actually, it is meant to point out that in Vineyard, you guys are always getting new people who do not have the background (or has a different theology about the nature and work of the Holy Spirit) in the work of the Holy Spirit. Now, Vineyard itself has that theology and if you look at the LTMLJ materials quite a bit of it is building the theology of the Kingdom and healing. The church I am attending here in Memphis is much smaller and is not growing quite like Champaign-Urbana Vineyard. Also, the pastor, Rick, has used the Vineyard material and taught about the nature and work of the Holy Spirit framed in the Kingdom model from the pulpit. We do have a few people who have been influenced by other teaching, but Rick prefers to address that from the pulpit since we are only 125 or so. I am freed to focus on the practical clinics and emphasis more on practically walking with the Holy Spirit in prayer ministry ( ... )
