"Where's TaeMin?" MinHo's mother asked as MinHo sat down on the couch next to her grabbing the remote control to change the channel from the ridiculous soap opera she was watching to some late-night showing of Star Golden Bell. "Hey! I was watching that!"
MinHo just laughed and changed it back to the previous channel. "He's in bed."
"But It's only 8 o'clock!" She said, and whispered "Don't boys normally stay up till like... 11...?"
"I asked him if he was tired and he said he was. So I let him go to bed."
"...Alright." She sighed. "I'd go say 'goodnight' but I think he's probably sound asleep by now."
"Yeah. Oh, uhm, can you give me money tomorrow to go out shopping? I'll get TaeMin new clothes."
"Sure. What are you going to do tomorrow? I'm not letting you stay home and I have work. TaeMin can't stay home alone."
"You're right... I can't leave him here alone... Do you think the school will let him come to classes with me?"
"Well, if you ask politely, perhaps. If worst comes to worse, call me, and I'll let you miss class, just this once. Capishe?"
"Okay... I wonder how chaotic things will be if they say 'Yes'..."
"You'll manage. Remember how you used to help that deaf girl in elementary? You did fine then, and there's no doubt in my mind that you'll do fine now. "
"Hmmm... Alright."
"Okay, well, I'm calling it a night. 3:15's gonna come too soon if I don't go to bed now."
"Okay. Goodnight."
