today marks my one week return to the states.

and now i'm ready to go back:)

what a long day. Zurich to London Heathrow (most ridiculous airport in the world as far as security, seriously. only 1 carry-on allowed and the highest security level i've ever seen. i got chosen for a random check and they pulled my whole family in too). today we all slept in (which for my family is 8:30). We went on a paddle boat tour of Luzern and its surrounding areas. absolutely beautiful. the water was so blue! it's really cool walking down the street here beacuse there are so many languages. The main language of Switzerland is German, but Italian and French are also huge, and most everyone ( Read more... )

today was fabulous...mostly because I got to spend it all with my family. I didn't realize how much I missed them...or how much I missed out on. We drove about 2 hours to a town in the mountains where we took a cable car (actually 4) up 12000 feet. CRAZY. it was gorgeous!!! the Alps are a sight..i don't know if anything compares to it. Happy June!!! Hard to believe another month has gone by, it’s summer, and this trip is almost over. I cannot wait to see my family, but I am not looking forward to going home. Hard to believe it’s already the end of May! How time flies when you don’t want to leave. Today was an amazing day. PS I feel horrible I had no idea Wiener was the word in German for Viennese. Oops. Another travel day…a very long one. But we sporadically took breaks, with one very long one to stop and see Mauthausen, another concentration camp. This one is located outside of Vienna, close to Linz in Austria. It’s up on a hill, overlooking a beautiful area, and again, the area it’s in is gorgeous itself.
