[He's dreaming, the impressions and images disjointed as much by the medications he's been on as by the illness. There's nothing pleasant about the experience, unsurprising in light of the usual nature of Niko's dreams. When he wakes, it's with a sudden tensing of every muscle and a sharp intake of breath.]

[Knowing full well the content of Niko's dreams, she jumps back as he awakes, her preternatural speed already carrying her toward the door. The last thing she intended to do was harm Niko further with her unfortunate semblance to Cherish and the least she can do is remove it from his presence as quickly as possible.]

[Unfortunately, Niko still needs someone nearby to prevent him from doing something foolish. He reaches over with his left hand and begins fumbling at the tape on his right where it holds the IV needle in place.]

[There's a soft string of not-very-ladylike curses as Promise stops in the doorway and swiftly turns around. Just as quickly, she's at Niko's side, pulling his hand away from the IV drip.]

Niko? Niko listen to me, you have to leave it in, you're still on antibiotics.

[Her other hand reaches out to his face, trying to soothe him by running her fingers through his hair.]

Niko, stop.

[OOC: And the theatre just called me, I was supposed to be off, but now I'm back on for some after-show duties. If I'm not back until uber-late, have a great night and we'll carry on later!]
