While working through a passage of The Aeneid today, I read about someone in flight surpassing the swift Hebrus, which according to one of my books is a "slow Thracian river which Vergil thought fast." It just cracks me up to think of Vergil writing about the swiftness of what is in reality a slow river and that the author of this particular book
