My great-uncle Charles died today. He was old, somewhere in his eighties. I think he was a WWII veteran. He smoked as long as I can remember, and was noted for his wit. His wife, my aunt Rosamond, is my grandmother's sister, and I think my family became closer to Aunt Rosamond and Uncle Charles after my grandmother died 13 years ago ( Read more... )

Tonight I practiced my monologues on the stage in the empty chapel to Kat(herine). The lights were on, and it was exciting. I don't know what to do with my hands (or the rest of me, for that matter), while on stage, and I decided tonight that I should probably just amputate them before I am graded tomorrow. I should prepare for bed now....

The grave of a child can bring a peace and comfort that are inexplicable. To just sit on a hillside beside a gravestone somehow makes God feel closer. I am finally home, although not for long. I return to Tigerville on Monday, joy of joys. Micah's wedding was fun, sad, and happy. Wycliffe was a good experience. I know God wanted me there, because I wasn't really trying to go and He worked it out anyway.
