An extremely eccentric History teacher at my mum's college died recently, and because he hadn't really got any friends or family and wasn't married, the college was given all his books. You should really visit Hay-On-Wye though. It's a town in Wales that is made up purely of bookshops. Seriously, there's at least 20, and one is in the building of an old cinema. It is my heaven on Earth, and all the books are dirt cheap.
See, and now I need some history referencing icons, like an Eleanor of Aquitaine one saying "I pwns you all".
