"Somewhere in this building is our talent."

Nov 16, 2006 21:03

*throws pen* My muse has buggered off!

Academia has rendered my fic writing mojo MIA.

So I can read the work of dead people, but can't produce any of my own? Bah.

And there are good drabbles and the "Laura/Lee Post-Measure of Salvation Pr0n of Uber Hotness" wanting to be written right now as well.

Curses!

"Laura/Lee Post Episode 3.07 Measure of Salvation Pr0n of Uber Hotness" wanting to be written right now as well.

Don't tease a girl! It's cruel and heartless.

My bad.

The annoying thing is that me and an over-heating nyuszi have already come up with the scenario, but my ability to do the idea justice (well, as much justice as I could ever do it....which could be not much) has utterly vanished. I am most irked.

Ah, I shall have faith. And, didn't they find their talent again, somewhere in the building? *g*

*grins* They did.

But I think I may only find my talent when we break up for Xmas. Noes!

We totally do! And we need it before anything that could frak our plan up becomes canon.

Also before you s'plode. ;)

canon doesn't matter! we defy canon... and besides, it only matters if laura/lee becomes canon! :D

i'm quite safe from exploding. AND i actually opened the word document containing all my laura/lee drabbles. haven't written anything yet, been staring for the past 2 hours, but at least it's open. it's a start...

goes to sleep because eyes are closing

If Laura/Lee ever became canon, I would explode with joy. And I have no doubt that you would join me.

Well, at least you opened the document, I guess that's....a start. GET WRITING L/L!

Erm, no I am not being demanding. Not at all. Aww, sleepy nyuszi. I am sleepy but I can't sleep. See how my life is rich with perverse irony atm?

Hehe, I know, isn't she just adorable? And not afraid to look a lil bit crazy.

My muse probably thought "You know what/ I was worked damn hard during the summer, what with all the drabbles, ficlets and that one 2000+ word fic. I'm gonna go sip cocktails by a pool in Jamaica." ;)

My problem of late has been that my muse for academic writing ate my Alternate History project for breakfest about a year ago so I have 200,000 words and just stopped cold.

I'm surprised that the Black Ships muse hasn't died yet... probably because I'm not taking paper intensive courses this semester.

200,000 words? *mind boggles* I can't even imagine me ever writing that much. But then again, I guess I'll be doing my dissertation in a couple of years so that opinion could change.

The Black Ships also hasn't died yet because if it did, you would be harassed by cranky and sad emails. ;)

200,000 words is a little misleading. It's an alternate history role playing game (dice and characters a la Dungeons and Dragons) where the US was taken over by a military dictatorship in the 1930s and the cold war never ended. The core book is about 110,000 words, the Europe book is about 65,000 words, and there is about 25,000 words in other bits for a third book.

Still. I can't even imagine me writing that many words, academic or creative. Go you!

Also, such an interesting project concept!
