Yes indeed, this just made me all tearful. It reminded me of so many episodes and moments and characters I had forgotten about, it brought all whole seven seasons together and I just basked in the glow ( Read more... )

The object of your affections has now been elevated to "man of bloody good taste" in my opinion. ;D West Wing pwns, though I don't know what you'd make of it.

Though, the thing that marrs this opinion of him is my puzzlement over why he has not jumped you yet. It just eludes me.

I always like reading your mad fangirlings, even if I can never think of anything constructive to say.

Saying I became interested in politics because of the West Wing would be dishonest. I was already an active democrat before hand, though I think I credit the West Wing for providing an example to people in this country that Democrats could be coming from a place of moral conviction and religious faith as well.

I think it did raise the level of expectations in the country.

Well, that cliched statement is true for me. In primary school, our headmaster randomly taught us about the UK Parliament and voting etc, so I already had a medium-sized interest in politics in a UK sense before TWW, but that show really did everything I said it did. *hugs the show*

I think it did, both in political terms and in the quality of television.
