"One can't be married AND in love. Not with the same person, I mean. It's not done!"

From fannish5:

What are your five favorite canonical romances? -
1. Lord Peter Wimsey & Harriet Vane (Dorothy L. Sayers)
2. Morticia & Gomez Addams (The Addams Family)
3. Irina Derevko & Jack Bristow (Alias)
4. Jed & Abbey Bartlet (TWW)
5. Evie Carnahan & Rick O'Connell (The Mummy)

And an earlier one from there, because I couldn't resist:

On the first set: Man, I always adored Morticia & Gomez. They just loved each other so damned much and they were so hot. And I am growing to love Jed & Abbey quite a bit, too. I <3 me some Stockard.

On the second set: I haven't seen Alias, so I don't know those two options, but I am so in agreement with the other choices. Now you've got me wanting to write BSG/Firefly crossovers ...

Yup, Morticia & Gomez are the best married couple EVER. I love that they are sensual and so deeply and tenderly in love. And aww, Jed & Abbey are adorable. The way the talk and fight with each other is wonderful to watch, and their deep love is so palpable. So I am a total sucker for equality, banter and passion in my canon (and non-canon) relationships. :D

Well, Firefly can bring the fun that BSGverse is lacking. Would make a fabulous xover. jennyo has already written some BSG/Firefly pieces, actually. You should read them, especially the one that's a character piece on Roslin and River ( ... )

Okay, I'll definitely have to check out jennyo's BSG/Firefly stuff, because I always enjoy her stories; not sure how I've missed those.

I'm with you - that equality/banter/passion combination is absolutely irresistable. The friction of the bantering/bickering adds a sexiness that goes so beautifully with the tenderness.

Glad it is approved.

(I KNOW. Dear God, that needs to be written some time. If Jack Bristow/Roslin can be written and done in a very credible way, I'm sure if we substituted his wife in, it could still work just as well. In the meantime, I'll be imagining the Irina/Laura up-against-the-wall porn. Excuse me.)

Ohhh, stop it (re: don't!) you despicable, wonderful tease! All these delicious thoughts and plots.
In some gorgeous hotel in Paris or Shanghai or Rio de Janero.... or some seedy alley in an Asian city..... - I say all four of those locations.....and more. Sexings in every city. Okay, so this really is just the Irina/Laura version of jennyo's Jack/Laura hotness. ;D

*joins in the whimpering*

TWW stands for The West Wing; the only tv show better than BSG.

I want to come rule the world with you and your assortment of mostly hot genius people.

Pretty please?

And of course I shall let you join my organisation.

I shall even employ Gene as one of my many 'heavies'. He can have a whale of a time beating people up on my orders. :)

Hurrah! I take it there are no rules restricting fraternisation amongst employees?

Well, okay, there probably aren't (she says, having taken another look at the people involved) but that was so you don't immediately wrinkle your nose and shout at me - if I wanted to make you do that, I'd suggest you employed a certain Captain Jack of Swishy Coat Torchwooding.

Absolutely no fraternisation rules. They are all competent enough not to let any personal BS get in the way of carrying out orders and their all-round pwnziness.

I would never employ him.

you've got evie and rick up there. awwwwwww! they're totally adorkable and cool. i've just read a few days ago rachel might not be in third movie and that makes me wanna cry. :(

I have SO much love for The Mummy and The Mummy Returns!! I love those two, especially Evie. I mean, how could you not love "I.....am a librarian!". Yeah, I've just been told that too. Sad. I probably won't go watch it. Any movie sans The O'Connell couple is poop.

Oh, I wouldn't be employing Laura. She is in reality the head of the organistion. I'm quite happy to relinquish most of my leader status to her. I just wouldn't want her as an enemy. :)

same here! i could watch them anytime, anywhere, and they're always fun. :)

well, she might still be in it. it was just a rumour after all. i can see why she wouldn't want to be in a 3rd movie, but it'd be sad to even atempt to make it without evie.

haha! so i sorta halfway got it right. at least, i got laura right. :) good plan, btw!

I have heard that the third film is gonna centre mainly on their grown up son, so they wouldn't need Evie as such. Especially not if they have at least got Brendan. But I sure as hell won't be watching it if there's no Evie.

Danke! Well, I so have to be good at them if I wanna rule the world.
