The suicide of Jacintha Saldanha has shaken many people. The DJs who made the call will feel responsible, and guilty, for the rest of their lives. The BBC, and any other stations who chose to broadcast the 'prank' should be aware of how they helped to turn one woman's silly mistake at work into a global mockery, that led to a death. I really think an on-the-spot suicide has to be a very rare thing. To hang yourself there has to already be a sense that you don't want to live, something that may have been growing inside you for a while. No medical history of depression does not necessarily mean someone has not been depressed, has not been sinking under waves of suicidal feeling.

I think the Duchess will be ok. It's quite horrible for her but it's really really not at all her that caused this in any way.
