Hello! First I'll do a proper write-up of the things I squee at in my respective fandoms, then a whole likes/squicks list for you. Probably accompanied by far too many Firefly in-jokes. Okay.
DISCWORLD: Vimes and Vetinari are my faaaaaaaavourites. Anything with the two of them interacting is wonderful, particularly if it involves other members of the Watch and maybe a nice little scene with Death, who comes in at a close third on my list. I don't ship adult Vimes/Vetinari because SYBIL, but Night Watch-era baby Vimes/Vetinari (as I said in my request doovy) would rock so hard. It doesn't have to be especially plotty if you're more of a character writer (which I am, too), and likewise if you're more plot driven you don't have to force yourself to write me profound character moments. Write it how you feel it.
MASH: This is my ultimate comfort fandom, even when it's depressing. I did put down that any characters were fine, but if you'd like the specifics, here they are: my favourites are...well, all of them, really. They're like my TV family because I'm weird like that. I even came to not hate Frank. Regarding cast, as I said I like Charles a whole lot better than Frank, which makes the rest default to BJ over Trapper and Potter over Henry, unless you wanted to do some awesome parallel thing with characters who've gone home as well. Except...Henry. ): Plz no main character death, because it's Yuletide! Happy! Cheerful! Not making poor Toni cry! Seriously, my love for them is epic. Oh, and...plz no Hawkeye/Mulcahy. Hawkeye/BJ or Hawkeye/Margaret is good, and BJ/Peg is my OTP, but Hawkeye/Mulcahy just...makes me go "NO". I don't know why, I'm not even religious. Whatever. Anyway...
SWEENEY TODD: I am the biggest Tim Burton fangirl I know, so any fic of his work has to be dark and fun and have a lot of energy, and lots of Depp and Bonham Carter is always a plus as well. Sweeney and Lovett are my favourite characters; I love them, I love their interaction, I love their she's-devoted-to-him-but-he-really-doesn't-give-a-shit-about-her relationship. I also love Toby, so stick him in there somewhere if you'd like. I don't really ship Sweeney/Lovett, mind, but if that's what you want to write then by all means do. As long as it doesn't involve some weird personality change for Sweeney where he suddenly realises his Epic Love for Nellie and forgets all about Lucy and Johanna and revenge. (Although I'm sure she'd prefer that.)
THAT 70S SHOW: This is a fairly old fandom of mine that I love dearly but haven't watched in forever (D:). Hyde is my favourite character, but Fez/Jackie is my OTP, which would be why I requested fic about them. If you love Hyde too, why not make it a love triangle! Or add some Kelso for a love oblong! Whatever you decide on, make it funny (naturally), make it sweet (like candy!), and above all make there be a Circle. You know what I'm talking about. COMEDY GOLD. Also, include Pastor Dave if you feel inclined to. And Red saying "dumbass". :D
Now, things I like: hilarity, emotional resonance, one-sided relationships, two-sided relationships, dark humour, dry humour, outrageous humour, humorous humour, wit, a perfect balance of fun and seriousness, slash that makes sense, het that makes sense, gen that makes sense, just things generally making sense, angst as long as it's not OOC, Firefly (how did that get in there...), happy endings, endings that aren't exactly happy but could at least be called okay, help me there is a giant fly attacking me as I write this, subtle Jossverse references, crossovers with Firefly (no, wait, that one might actually be relevant --), pleasant surprises, Discworld Capitalization, semi-colons, love (isn't always perfect), characters you love to hate, said characters exhibiting their human side, friends-turned-enemies, enemies-turned-friends, redshirts called Foreman, adorkability, explosive and vaguely hilarious arguments between friends/lovers/etc that end in awkward reconciliation, Hoban Washburne.
Things that squick me or otherwise make me frown: BDSM, hugely unnecessary blood and gore (obviously this does not apply to Sweeney Todd), smut for no reason, explicit smut for no reason, ships that make no sense and come at you out of nowhere like some kind of evil ninja, evil ninjas where they do not belong, THE FOX NETWORK, characters being out-of-character, main character death!, HELP ME THE FLY IS STILL HERE, bad spelling, bad grammar, bad punctuation, SUDDENLY THERE'S REAVERS, deus ex machinas, Our Love is True and Perfect!
