Yay... Finally... Details of The Aveline Canberra Memorial!!!
Please pass this on... We want to see as many people as possible... but it would also be handy if at least some of you say you're coming so we can plan catering
Finally I have had a few spare minutes to organise a Memorial service for Aveline, in Canberra.
It's happening THIS Sunday 25th Feb. 3pm to 8pm(ish)
@ The Basement, top of Cohen St, Belconnen
We're playing lots of music that Ave would have liked and a slide show of photos and the presentation from the funeral. I'll also try to get a box of the awesome cards made for the funeral and a copy of the DVD of the service if people would like to see it. It was excellent !!! Ave would have been very proud.
We're also putting on some finger food prepared by some uber chefs Ave knew and the bar will be open.
I haven't thought about any formalities, other than DRESS UP AND BE SILLY... but if anyone would like to say/do something speak up.
It is a licensed premises but kids are allowed if accompanied by their parents and because it's afternoon.
Donations towards costs of food would be greatly appreciated (gold coin basically).
Also if you have music suggestions, want to talk or have photo's for me to add to the slide show. Email missgwen at gmail dot com
I'm also going to be keeping my Live Journal up to date, so you can contact me there, offer people lifts whatever...
