What depresses me more than anything right now is knowing that even though it is coming up on 3AM and I am in the midst of writing a paper that I must turn in tomorrow (I haven't procrastinated, btw; I've been so busy with school work that I'm forced to complete assignments on a first come, first serve basis), I will in no way finish the paper

I have a similar problem. This paper has just not been working.

I'm almost done with the text, though. depending on how many footnotes I can put in.
