Title: Loser
Pairing: Shige/Maki, NEWS/Maki
Rating: PG-13-R
Summary: Shige just can’t win. What batsu game is he to face now?
A/N: I tried real hard, because I don’t usually do this couple. So I hope it’s not too much of a failure. Possibly really OOC? PURE CRACK. Sorry if it sucks. X_x
“You should just give up playing this game forever.”
“Yeah, you suck at it.”
Shige scowls loudly with a “tsk”. “I don’t suck that bad.”
Ryo throws his cards down on the table. “Yes, you do.” He leans back smirking at the frustrated Shige, who doesn’t hesitate to throw a glare his way.
“You suck so bad that Yamapi is already bored of winning.” Ryo retaliates, jabbing a thumb in the direction of their leader, who is comfortable laying his head in the lap of his current co-star, Horikita Maki.
Ryo also adds in. “Just push his head off, Horikita-chan.”
Maki smiles softly. “No, its okay. I told him he could do it.”
“Hey, don’t get off subject here! Massu, it’s your turn!” Massu yawns loudly in Shige’s face, before pulling from the fan of cards Shige holds up for him. Massu doesn’t even glance at his card before he is putting the remaining cards in his hands down on the table.
“Done.” Massu shows his empty hands to Shige, who lets out a groan. “Not fair. You guys are cheating.”
Tegoshi rolls his eyes and repeats what he said earlier. “You should just give up playing this game forever.” He leans in towards Maki, leaning his head on her shoulder. “I want to sleep too.”
Shige twitches, watching his members and the chance of winning dwindle away. “Hey! You’re still in the game.”
Tegoshi doesn’t respond, but snuggle closer to Maki. “He’s done.”
“EHH?! How is this possible?!”
Ryo stretches out his arms above his head, getting up from his seat. “I’m really tired. Let’s go to sleep.”
He slaps Tegoshi and Yamapi on the head, apologizing to Maki. “It’s okay, Nishikido-kun. They can stay if they want.”
Tegoshi gets up whining, but gets up nonetheless, pressing a sloppy kiss on Maki’s cheek. “Yamapi should bring you more often.”
Ryo agrees, trying his hand again at waking their leader up. “Seriously, that guy is so selfish. We all love when you stop by.”
“He never invites me to your concerts. I have to bribe him.”
Koyama is next to finish his cards, leaving Shige to dwell in his lost. “You lose again. Dinner is on Shige tomorrow! And put your clothes back on.”
The rest of the members and Maki cheer, “Yatta!” while Shige hits his head against the table.
Ryo gives one last shove to Yamapi, who only snuggles closer into Maki’s lap. “Baka.” He grumbles, waving Yamapi off.
Koyama leans in to kiss Maki on the head, followed by Massu before the two of them follow Tegoshi and Ryo out of the room. “Oyasumi, Maki-chan.”
“Oyasumi nasai! See you guys tomorrow.”
Shige lifts his head up, an evident frown on his face as he gathers up the cards. Maki smiles jokingly, scanning over the amount of clothing Shige had already lost. She can’t help but to giggle at his half-naked body.
“Ganbatte, Shige. You’ll beat them all one day.” She encourages, unconsciously brushing through Yamapi’s wavy hair.
“You’re even good at this game.”
“Me and Yamashita-kun play on the set all the time.”
Shige frowns even more, looking over his lucky leader. “I don’t get it.” He shuffles the cards over and over again.
Maki finally looks down to the boy in her lap. “Yamashita-kun, everyone went to sleep already.”
With as soft as she said it, Shige is surprised when Yamapi lifts his head up without a scowl on his face. Yamapi rubs his eyes, still leaning on Maki, moving his head forward to press on kiss on Maki’s head, like the rest of the group.
“See you tomorrow?” He asks slurring his words and she nods in response.
“Hai, Shige is taking us out to dinner.”
“Eh? Honto?” Yamapi looks to Shige with a smile. “Better luck next time, ne?”
Shige looks away from him, “Cut the sarcasm.”
Yamapi smirks while he gets up and drags himself out, leaving the room with one last, “Oyasumi.”
As soon as the door closes, Maki sits up reaching for the stack of cards in Shige’s hands. “Come on, let’s play one more time. You’re going to win this time, I can feel it.”
Shige smiles at her attempt to cheer him up and suddenly feels pumped up to play again. “Okay! Let’s do it.”
Maki deals out the cards. “State the batsu-game.”
Shige collects his cards together, thinking deep. “Hmmm…” Maki sets up her cards, glancing at him from time to time. “How about …loser dances?”
Maki eyes him at his suggestion. “Okay. Yeah, okay. I can do that.”
She looks back to the cards and then smiles devilishly. “But I won’t need to.”
Shige raises an eyebrow to her, smiling at her challenge. “We’ll see.”
10 minutes later and a 6th loss of the night for Shige…
Maki is turning on the music, urging Shige to get up from his seat and do the punishment. Shige, feeling a little more comfortable since the rest of the guys weren’t there, gets up suddenly.
Maki laughs out loud, clapping her hands as Shige tries to dance to the song. He wiggles his half-naked body, imitating a salsa dancer. He decided that even though he lost, he might as well have fun with his last batsu-game.
He wiggles his way up to her, dancing closely in front of her while she laughs holding her hands up to dance in her seat.
“Go Kato. Go Shige. Go Kato. Go Shige.” She cheers on with the music.
His confidence gets on a high rise and he is dancing closer to her, turning around to shake his bum in her face.
“Ahhh. Too close!” She jokes, but he only pursues further.
It becomes an awkward situation when it takes them a minute to realize Shige is basically dancing half-naked in her lap. The digression of their laughter was classic awareness.
It was funny when he first gains contact with her, shaking his non-existent ass in front of her face in a silly manner.
It gets a little more serious, when he actually gets tired from standing oddly so he plants his behind firmly on the lap where his leader’s head used to lay, shaking it around.
It becomes uncomfortable and awkward, when he proceeds to the same move for the next 30 seconds and Maki’s laughter dies away with the time.
The song has already come to an end and Shige stops his shaking when he finally realizes his position. He is about to stand up and apologize, but Maki’s arms wrap around him naked stomach, resting her head on his back.
It felt like hours before Shige realized what was going on. Maki is holding on to him, while he is sitting in her lap.
Though the gesture was sweet, Shige couldn’t help but to think how backwards this was. “Eh, Maki-chan?”
She releases him immediately and Shige gets up almost as quickly. “Gomen! I don’t want it to be awkward.”
Shige scratches the back of his head and then looks down realizing he was still basically undressed. He scrambles to grab his shirt and put it on.
“I should apologize, I went a little too far.” He bows a little but she only shakes her head. “No, it’s okay. It was funny. Thank you.”
Shige responds with a sheepish smile. “Well it’s late. We should get to sleep.”
Maki nods, gathering her things. Just as they exit the door, Maki slips under his arm, wrapping hers around him. Shige is surprised and thankful that she hadn’t ran away from the weird situation he put her in.
“So dinner tomorrow! I can’t wait.” She comments and he deflates.
Shige shoulders droop down, suddenly remembering all of the losses and punishments he suffered tonight. However, his hold on her tightens.
“I’ll walk you to your room, because this will probably be the most time I could spend with you before Yamapi and Tegoshi are up again.”
